Madi had lots of fun playing with all the interactive stations at the Children's museum. I think by far her favorite area was the kid size grocery store! Looked completely realistic and was sponsored by Whole Foods. So cute!

Happy Easter!

We were able to participate in 3 easter egg hunts. During the first hunt she figured out that there was candy in the plastic eggs and was totally into finding the eggs after that. Needless to say, madi had lots and lots of practice for the morning of Easter. She knew exactly what to do :) We were able to color eggs and attend the easter egg hunt put on by Micah's department. Lots of fun!

During our stay in CA we were also able to visit Balboa Island where madi had her first chocolate covered frozen banana :). She had tons of fun riding on all the carousels in orange county.

To those of you who actually care to read our blog...I know I have not posted anything in FOREVER! So here are some of the things we have been up to in the last little bit :)

Halloween:

We carved pumpkins and Madi dressed up as a unicorn....super fun!

Thanksgiving:

I ran in the turkey trot and cooked my very first Thanksgiving Dinner for some friends and family :)

Christmas:

Took pictures with santa!!!

January:

Played in CA and made Madison's first visit to Disneyland!

Madison has been a really great sport about going for walks lately. For the last two weeks we've had abnormally gorgeous weather so I have been trying to go for walks everyday. Tomorrow it is forcasted to snow so I thought I would get a picture of my happy companion today :)

Just thought this video was so cute. Sometimes Madison makes noises in her sleep. I usually don't hear her but Micah does and we think it is so cute!

she is really getting in to her johnny jumper too. It's nice to give her things to do and have her entertain herself for a few minutes without my help :) ha ha ha...

Post Holiday Update....

I have been a real slacker as far as our blog is concerned. We spent Christmas in California and Micah blessed Madison while we were there. It was lots of fun to spend time with our families. When we got back to CO we all went through a round of sickness. And I'm glad to report we have survived.

Holiday Party....

Micah's work holiday party was last weekend. Thankfully it wasn't snowing or super cold so I was able to take Madison with. I got to dress her up all fancy and Christmasy.... it was so much fun playing dress up. She was the life of the party! There were lots of people there that had not seen her yet... so needless to say she got so so much attention. I know I am totally bias and all but I do have to say....she looked darn cute! :)

3 month milestones...

Madison has finally reached the 3 month mark...where supposedly things begin to get easier right? At least she is a little more entertaining these days. She can now roll over on her side. She is grabbing everything and attempting to put it in her mouth. And she finally will go in the johnny jumper for a little while and entertain herself. Her naps are becoming more routine and she can stay awake for longer periods of time with out getting cranky! And she finally has her crib up so now she doesn't have to sleep in our room anymore...even though I will probably still let her for a little while longer :). We are so blessed to have her in our home. She is such a joy for me and Micah! We love her so much!

My sister was in town this last weekend. It was so much fun to have her here. We were both dying for her to get to know Madison. She brought us so many goodies from Grandma Lucas in California. We enjoyed taking pictures of Madison, dressing her, giving her baths, and shopping. Madison was so excited to have a new face around the house she didn't take any naps the whole first day her aunt Maria was in town. Madison just wanted to be part of the excitement :). We love you Maria and miss you already! We are way excited to see you and the whole Lucas gang over Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! We put Madison in a little jack-o-lantern onesie with a matching socks and a beanie. She was so precious. Unfortunately, she could not stay awake for picture time with mom & dad. Go figure :-)

Everyone keeps saying (especially grandmas :)) that Madison has really changed. I guess I didn't realize how much she has grown until I put this onesie on her today. We put the same onesie on her the week she got home from the hospital. Look how much she is filling it out now!

Amazing....I can't believe she will be 2 months this week!

It's probably because I'm always the one who puts Madison down for sleep, but I swear!....everytime Micah has her and she is needing sleep, she falls right to sleep for him. Like a perfect angel :-). What a Daddy's Girl!

Hi Mom! Just thought you would get a kick out of these pictures. I put her in the duckie outfit with the matching beenie and the duck feet after her bath. I just thought she looked so cute! One month and counting...

I can't believe she is over a month old already! She has changed so much already and is really beginning to shine! We love her so much and are enjoying every day with her. She has gained 2lbs., 2oz. since we brought her home AND has grown 1 3/4 inches! Go Madi!

So Madison does the cutest little combination of a coo, smile, and giggle. I have completely failed at every attempt to capture it on video or in a picture. Unfortunately, I can't get either to download......so when i catch my favorite face of hers or get the other videos to post you will know :-)

Well we finally have some great news to post on our blog! Our precious Madison has finally arrived! Here is her first picture...

7 lbs. 7 oz. & 19 inches ... We are so proud to welcome her to our new and growing family! :-)

Based on our recent ultrasound, we are happy to report that she is healthy & developing well!!! :-)

Since we still have some time to pick out her name, Micah has decided to refer to her as our "Jane Doe". :-)
